The Orange Desktop CNC Mill Kit from Maker Bench is a terrific way to get started with CNC milling.
This kit includes everything needed to get started milling wood, plastics, foam, rubber, PCB boards and more include the 3 axis cnc machine with frame, 3 NEMA 17 motors, power box with 250 watt power supply, cnc control electronics and CNC control software. A separate PC with a parellel port is needed and a rotary tool (Dremel or other brand) is needed and not included in this kit.
Some users may have success with aluminum using a very small depth of cut.
This is a kit which requires assembly. Tools required for assembly are a power drill/driver (drill bits are provided in kit), screw drivers, a metal file, hammer and SAE wrenches. These are all common tools that most people have available already.
